Validation Skills – What’s Expected of you as a Validation Participant? – 2-part series

7 August @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

All assessors are expected to know how to validate assessment tools, practices and decisions. However, if you ask most of today’s assessors, they will likely struggle to tell you what their role is in a validation session. This two part webinar series will help assessors and RTOs know their obligations during a validation session. We’ll look at how the rules of evidence and principles of assessment need to be tested in a good validation session as well as how this process may change when we’re trying to validate assessment tools versus assessment judgments.
This webinar series will cover:

  • The importance of validation and why we need to do it
  • The resources validation participants will need prior to the validation session to ensure it runs successfully
  • What makes a good validation tool
  • The rules of evidence and the principles of assessment as they apply to a validation session
  • Common findings from a validation session
  • Key things to look out for
  • How to document your validation findings
  • What recommendations you should make based on your findings

This is a two-part webinar series. Each part will run at the same time and same day, over two consecutive weeks. The webinars will be held on:

  • Friday 7th August, 2020
  • Friday 14th August, 2020

By attending this webinar, you will receive:

  • Certificate of Attendance to add to your PD file
