As you may know already the Victorian state budget was announced earlier this week which will have a significant impact on those RTOs currently delivering government funded training in Victoria. In an effort to ensure that government funding of vocational education and training returns to a sustainable level after years of extreme growth in the Victorian market, significant slashes to the amount paid per training hour has been announced for many industries, along with increases in some sectors and an increase to apprentices across the board.

We’ve highlighted some of the changes below which we know will affect those in our mail group. These funding changes come into effect for new enrolments from 1 July 2012 and for all students from 1 January 2013.
