Students can now go onto the Student Portal on the USI website and enter in their mobile number, email address or personal details to have their USI sent to them.
Previously the USI portal required more time consuming data verification from students.
How does this impact my RTO?
Ensure your student admissions team and support team understand this change so they can let students know if they have forgotten their USI they can go to this page: https://www.usi.gov.au/faqs/i-have-forgotten-my-usi
Reminders:
- It is the student’s responsibility to verify their USI or provide consent and information to the RTO to allow the RTO to apply on their behalf.
- However as an RTO you should ensure you have the USI questions and declaration on student Enrolment forms and ensure each USI is verified prior to issuing Statements of Attainment or Qualifications, more information.
