Your Annual Declaration of Compliance –  A must read for all RTOs

The Standards for RTOs 2015 require each registered training organisation (RTO) to provide ASQA with an annual declaration on its compliance with the Standards.

What this submission actually means.
When you have signed a declaration under the Statutory Declarations Act 1959, you acknowledge to ASQA – The National VET Regulator, that you are accepting all responsibility to ensure you are compliant.

Ask yourself the following questions:

  • Do you fully understand your compliance requirements as per the Standards?
  • Have you been monitoring all systems and operations of your RTO?
  • Can you provide sufficient evidence to support your declaration?

The declaration must be completed by the person who is legally responsible for the registration of the RTO (the Chief Executive Officer).

RTOs registered with ASQA have until midnight AEDT 31 March 2018 to complete and submit the declaration. *RTOs registered with the VRQA will have until 1st of April 2018.

Get in touch with one of our expert consultants to help you with any questions about preparing for the 31st March 2018.

Providing this information is a requirement of clause 8.4 of the Standards. If an RTO does not submit the requested declaration, ASQA will take further regulatory action.

So how prepared is your RTO?
