The Australian Vocational Student Prize will be awarded to up to 500 students for achieving excellence in their vocational training program while completing year 12.

“The prizes also recognise training for a trade or other skilled job at school is just as important and demanding as any other field of study, and that students who work extremely hard to achieve excellence should be recognised regardless of what they study.” – Sussan Ley MP – Assistant Minister for Education.

If you deliver Vocational Education and Training  in Schools or have an Australian School-based Apprenticeship program, your students may be eligible for nomination by their school.

Each of the awarded students will receive $2,000 and a certificate. Nominations close 29 November, 2013.
