the alnf

The Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation

RTO Advice Group have partnered with ALNF because they are an organisation dedicated to raising language, literacy and numeracy standards in Australia and raises funds to develop, implement and sustain innovative projects for individuals and communities. Our resource division Eduworks Resources provides the opportunity for people to make a donation towards ALNF when they purchase VET resources through our site.

“We are grateful to be partnering with Eduworks, an organisation which shares our commitment to quality and excellence, flexibility and effectiveness. ALNF’s programs address a wide range of learning needs, with a particular focus on Indigenous, refugee and marginalised communities. ALNF believes that literacy is freedom- literacy allows individuals to access education, participate meaningfully in our society and to have a voice. It is a basic human right. Thanks to the support of Eduworks, we are one step closer to ensuring all Australian children can write their own bright future.” – ALNF

COASTREK

As a 30-60km team trekking challenge, Coastrek has now raised over $20 million in charity towards The Fred Hollows Foundation. And this year, two of our very own teams from RTO Advice Group will be challenging themselves on this hike to support the cause. We only ask for your continued support and encouragement while we train for the 10-18 hour challenge held Friday 25th May.

“We see a world in which no person is needlessly blind and Indigenous Australians exercise their right to good health. For everyone, no matter whether they’re rich or poor, to have the right to high quality and affordable eye care. I believe the basic attribute of mankind is to look after each other.” – Professor Fred Hollows

THE VINNIES CEO SLEEPOUT

2017

In June 2017, Shashi Hodge participated in the Vinnies CEO sleepout to raise awareness for homelessness. For one night, Shashi slept in nothing but a cardboard box out in the cold with over 700 other CEOs across Victoria. Shashi was able to raise a total of $1500 which has gone towards improving homelessness on our streets. The Vinnies CEO Sleepout raised over $5.6m towards homelessness this year.
