From 1 January 2014, the VRQA will increase fees to reflect rises in the Consumer price index.
Increases will apply to RTO application lodgement fee, assessment fee and annual registration fee. RTOs may also be affected by the increased fee for course accreditation and accreditation amendment fees. This list is not exhaustive as the VRQA have reviewed their entire fee structure and all VRQA registered training providers or organisations undergoing application should be aware of fee increases.
Please review information and 2014 fees and charges summary on the VRQA website (click here).
2013 – 2014 Fee changeover specifics:
- Extension to scope applications received by 4pm on 31st December 2013 will be invoiced under the 2013 fees.
- 5 year registration renewal fees: All RTOs due for their 5 year renewals close to the change-over period have been sent instructions with their invoices to pay the fees and submit the form before 31st December in order receive 2013 rates. Those who didn’t receive these instructions have an invoice date falling outside of the changeover period and cannot request to pay early to avoid the higher rate.
- RTOs should be advised that they are not able to request to pay their annual fees (for 2014) early in order to avoid the increase. Fee rates will be charged according to the due date of the invoice, regardless of when the invoice was issued or paid.
