The VRQA (Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority) has recently been audited by the Auditor General, and the results were surprisingly alarming for the entire VET industry.

The main problem identified was the lack of a quality assurance regime to ensure that standards set are also being met by registered training organisations.

Until these issues are addressed, the Auditor General writes, ‘…students, employers and other stakeholders cannot have the level of confidence in quality of services from VET providers that they deserve’.
