The Victorian Department of Education & Early Childhood Development yesterday announced that applications were open for 2015 Victorian Training Guarantee funding contracts.
There are four categories of applications available:
- Victorian based RTOs with 2014 VTG funding contracts (Pre-contract Assessments)
- Non-Victorian based RTOs with 2014 VTG funding contracts (Pre-contract Assessments)
- Victorian based RTOs without a current VTG funding contract (Expressions of Interest)
- Non-Victorian based RTOs without a current VTG funding contract (Expressions of Interest)
Pre-Contract Assessments:
RTOs with a current VTG contract must complete a pre-contract assessment to continue receiving funding for enrolments commencing from 2015.
RTOs undertaking this process may also indicate their interest in being assessed for the following optional initiatives:
- Young People Transitioning from Care Initiative
- RPL Approved Provider List
- Foundation Skills Approved Provider List
All required documentation and process overview is available through the applications menu in SVTS. Once you’ve completed everything, lodge your application through SVTS.
Expressions of Interest:
RTOs without a current VTG contract need to lodge an Expression of Interest to apply.

Once you’ve completed everything, lodge your application through the SVTS portal as well.
Deadlines
The closing date for the submission of applications is 2pm AEST 12 September 2014. However RTOs are encouraged to start preparing documentation as soon as possible.
Questions can be submitted through SVTS questions & answers (under applications) until 4pm Wednesday 3 September.
